Happy Thanksgiving from Delray Beach Apartments

Tonight we are going to list the top 10 things that we are grateful for here at the apartments in Delray Beach web blog.

1. Having an apartment in Delray Beach blog to write about our favorite things.

2. Actually having shelter – being able to live in an apartment.

3. Having food to eat.  There are so many third world countries that do not have food.

4. Friends – we are grateful for our readers and most of all our friends, without you this would not be possible.

6. Family – our family supported us when this site was a mere idea and glimmer. We thank you for your support over the years and cultivating us into the people that we are today.

7. Higher Power – God, Jesus, Allah, whatever it is you call him, he is the man upstairs that provides for us on a daily basis.  Thank you.

8.  Our newest addition – the creator of this website is blessed with a new baby boy.  We thank God for the new life in his family and are grateful for new life on this earth.

9.  Our fans – we thank you!

10. The internet – without the internet, this all would not be possible.  The internet is our playground and our workplace.  Thank you!

This is just a short list of what we are grateful for.

Thanksgiving is about gratitude and thanks.  This website in its most primitive form is about shelter, and that is what we are looking to provide here.  Without shelter we would cease to exist from damage from the elements.

Thanksgiving is a time where we can share our love and joy with family, and also reach out and help those who are less fortunate.  Tonight I urge all of you who are sitting at home with you stomachs full in good health to think of those less fortunate.  Help someone who might be hungry.  Give an extra donation to a homeless shelter or an animal shelter.  I know of a few very good ones if you are not familiar with them.  If you have not called your parents or your friends recently, now is the time to do that.  You only live once and before you know it your life will pass you by.  At the end will you be able to answer the question “Am I a good person, and did I do my best to help my fellow man?” to the best of your ability.

This is how we try to live every day.  We may only be an apartment blog, but we treat everyone that we come across with respect that they deserve.

One last thing: if you are struggling at this time of year, reach out for help.  There are many places.  If you are struggling with addiction or alcoholism go to an alcoholics anonymous meeting.  If you are sitting back watching a loved one kill him or herself with drugs or alcohol go to an Alanon meeting.  If you are feeling sick, get tested.  You only live once.

We thank all of our loyal readers for reading our blog and liking our Facebook Page.  Thank you again for reading and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

From all of us here at the Apartments in Delray Beach Blog.

Delray Beach Garlic Festival 2012

The Derlay Beach Garlic Festival was amazing!  There was a turnout of over 30,000 people and such a good time.  We had amazing 50 degree weather throughout the weekend and no sign of rain anywhere.  There were over 100 vendors that came from all over the country as well as internationally.  Plenty of rides for the kids, a nice array of alcoholic beverages for the adults and lines and lines of all kinds of food, including garlic ice cream!  The best part of all: G Love and Special sauce performed in Old School Square right at the intersection of Swinton and Atlantic.  Almost 10,000 people filled the arena, probably Atlantic Avenues largest turnout ever!

Apartmentsindelraybeach.com had a strong attendence…all of us were there in a small booth next to the “garlic french fries.”  It was great to get feedback from people as well as to survey the town to see how we were doing.  Times like this it does not even seem like work.  We also got some amazing feedback on our blog, what we could improve, what people wanted to see more of, and a ton of more people just stopping by to say hi.  We even helped  a slew of people find an apartment that wanted to move in from out of town.

In the next couple weeks we are going to be focusing on more Delray Beach Apartment Rental related tasks, including:  upgrading our referral system (we want to be able to reward you for making a referral), upgrading our lead page to make it easier for you to fill out the form and find an apartment in Delray Beach and also make some other site changes.  We have also added a few other sites to our list that we think might help people including:

We really want to be able to help as many people as possible, and this can only happen if we are completely unselfish and have as many resources available as possible.

Thats it for now, we just had to write a post on the Delray Beach Garlic Fest for this year and talk a little more about some of the changes that we are making here on the site.  Signing out from Apartments in Delray Beach.  Adios!

Delray Beach Art Festival

Hello everyone and welcome to apartmentsindelraybeach.com.  In case you haven’t been here before, we are a full service apartment brokerage firm, that helps everyone from college students to the elderly find appropriate placement for their apartment needs in the South Florida area.  W are the largest resrouce for people needing to rent an apartment in Delray beach and i t is also the ultimate Delray Beach Apartments resource.   It has been a wild ride over the course of the last year, but we are still here.

It was great seeing everyone at the Delray Beach Art Festival this past weekend.  Our booth was set up right in the Old School Square arena and everyone had a chance to stop by and say hello that we had a chance to meet over the course of the last year.  It just hit me the other day when all of this was going on how many people that we helped, when I saw so many faces of people that have either interviewed with us or that we actually helped find an apartment in Delray Beach, it was great to see everyone.

The next upcoming Delray Beach event is the Delray Affair, coming up soon.  2012 is actually the fiftieth year of the Delray Affair.  The event is held outside along Atlantic Avenue, every year the streets are completely left open to pedestrians from the Intracoastal all the way to Swinton.  The area is lined with different vendors and local businesses throughout the community.   Last year it drew the biggest crowds ever, having a total of 100k people.  This is normally the event that most people attend before they go back “up north” for the year.

That is it for today, again it was great seeing everyone at the art festival this past week and I can’t wait to attend the Delray Affair this year.  Thank you to all of our loyal readers for coming by and see you all again next week!

Happy New Year!

It has been a great year here at the Delray Beach Apartment Blog.  In 2011 we have helped over 300 people get into an apartment successfully.  With the help of James and Samantha we have truly developed a site that can cut out the middle man, and really help people get into an apartment.   Here are a few of the top apartments in Delray Beach for 2012.

1. The Vinings

2. Spring Harbor

3. Pineapple Village Apartments

4. Drexel Park

5. Kings Point

6. Mizner Pointe

8. Addison Circle

9. Delray Apartments

10. Delray Beach Circle

The process is very simple, if you are looking to get into an apartment first fill out the form on our main page.  Do your best to fill out all of the information with the best accuracy possible.  It is important that you are honest so we know that nothing comes up and there are no surprises.  We need to know a little bit about your financial background as well as your employment history.  After that we take a look at your preferences as well as needs and we pair you with an apartment rental specialist and will give you a call.

Again, it has been truly a great year.  We have worked hard every day to get this site out there for more people to see.  We have definitely had some stumbling blocks along the way, but we have managed to overcome them all.  We would definitely like to thank the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Delray Beach Police department and the Better Business bureau.  Without your help and support we would not be able to make a site as good as we can.

We have a lot of goals for 2012:

Find more established real estate agents that truly care about the renter and not just renting out apartments.

Rent 500 apartments!

Make it a point to listen to each and every one of our clients, their needs, and make customer satisfaction #1 in every conversation.

Thank you to everyone else here who we did not name and remember to check us out first before looking at any other apartments!

Delray Beach Apartments for Senior Citizens

What you are about to read could help you

If you are reading this and are over the age of 55, then we can help you.  Finding an apartment can be a daunting task, it is not easy to find an apartment in an area that you like, that you can afford, that also suits all of your needs.  There are also multiple things that come into consideration when thinking about this.  Is the amount of square footage that you have going to increase your electric bill?  Your heating bill?  Is the apartment that you are choosing close to public transportation.  Is it close to a grocery store?

These are all things that you need to consider before moving into an apartment in delray beach.  Statistics show that 79% of all Americans move into an apartment because they are in an emergency situation.  That normally means that you do not have the proper time to figure out what you have to in order to get all of your affairs in order.  If you are one of the lucky ones who will really be able to choose the apartment that you want to move into, take the time to ask your questions above.

We just wanted to say that we are here for you.  We have agents standing by that will drive you around town to find different apartments in delray beach.  We understand that you may not necessarily have transportation and we will gladly help with this.  If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us, using the contact page.

Delray Apartments Video

Here at Apartments in Delray Beach, we try to have a wide variety of media for our viewers.  In the past 30 days we have successfully helped over 25 renters rent an apartment in Delray Beach.  This was no easy task, that means we have had to deal with banks, employers, employees, parents, sons, daughters, write letters, deal with landlords.  The list goes on!  This is the main reason why people enlist in our service.  Thousands of people every year go homeless from not having an apartment.  Millions of people every year are either living somewhere where they do not want to be, or they are clearly paying more for their apartment than they want to.  This is why we are here, we are here to pair the renter with the landlord, and to help create a seamless Process.

Listed below are the top 10 apartments that we have rented to our tenants, well not our tenants but we like to refer to all of our website visitors as tenants.  Some of them have gone to private family homes, others have rented a condo in Delray Beach, others have rented an apartment in a place like the Citation Clube or the Vinings.  Nevertheless, every last one of our clients are now happy in their brand new home.  We pride ourselves in not resting until YOU find your home in Delray Beach.  This is our home, and we want it to be yours as well.  If you need further assistance, you can contact us on our contact us page, or call us on our 24 hour a day, 7 day a week 800 number any time you want.  Enjoy the video!

Roomates: Top 10 Reasons to Have a Roommate

Roomates can be tough, we all know it.  Weather you have had a roommate in college or in the army…even for a short period of time you know the ups and downs

So here is the list of the top 10 reasons to have (or not have) a roommate, it is our list and not the be all end all – but be sure to heed our warnings!

1. You can share the rent - renting an apartment in Delray Beach can be very expensive.  A decent 1 bedroom can start at $1000 a month and go up to several thousand dollars every single month for a top of the line apartment.   Consider getting a room mate to share this expense.  Having even one roommate can split this bill in half.

2. You can share the bills – electric, water, waste, cable – all of these are bills that you can split if you have a roomate.

3. Companionship – Having a roommate in delray beach can provide you with someone to talk to and just a friendly face at the end of the day.

4. Share the chores – you have someone to share the tasks of cleaning the common area

5. Meals – By splitting the cooking costs and the cooking you can save time and money.  I remember when I first had a roomate we worked different shifts, I would cook breakfast for him in the morning and dinner would be ready for me when I got home every night.  It worked out great all of the time.

6. Share pet duties – It helps to have someone walk your dog

7. Wingmen – You always have someone to go to a party or a club with

8.  Advice – Having a roomate is a good source of advice, they get to know you and can offer sound advice

9.  Long term friend – My first room mate and I had nothing in common, but I assure you that we still talk almost every week.

10.  Get togethers – You will make new friends from taking part in the other roommates get togethers.  Why live life and not have a get together?

This is just a short list of why to have a room mate.  We recommend it for the obvious reason:  that it is much cheaper and it saves on rent but all other nine reasons are great reasons to have a roommate.

Delray Beach Apartment Rental – November

Read this article

Well, it is November here in Delray Beach.  There has already been 2 MAJOR snow storms “up north” and the snow birds are really starting to pour in.  What does this mean?  How does this effect all of us?

This is the Delray Beach Apartment Renters Blog so lets talk about that first.  When we get a bad winter up north, the population increases in Delray Beach, making it more difficult to find an apartment in delray beach.  The more people that come to Delray, the more apartments are occupied by people.  Finding an apartment is not easy, it is actually very difficult.  Thousands of people become homeless in the United States and Canada every year because they do not know how to properly find an apartment.  This does not have to be the way it is.

This is a serious issue in this day in age because finding a place to live can be a deal breaker if you are trying to find a good job, be in a loving and lasting relationship, have a welcoming social group, and so forth.

What are some tips to finding an apartment this time of year?

Work with your realtor.  Working with a realtor will allow you to find the places that are newly listed on the MLS.  While this is extremely important, it is not the only important factor in finding an apartment.

Call back – Calling back your phone calls will help you stay on top of your calls.  If you do not call back your potential land lords you will not find an apartment.

Be persistant – If you are persistant, and you continue to look, you will eventually find an apartment.

If you follow these quick tips and tricks, there is no doubt that you will find yourself in a warm apartment before you know it.  Signing off from apartmentsindelraybeach.com  Goodnight.

Downtown Delray Beach

When sourcing a new place to to call home, with pleasant people, and a laid-back atmosphere, your first search should be for apartments in Delray Beach.  Delray Beach is home to a lifestyle that is unmatched by any of its surrounding counterparts.  Young people from all over the country come to taste the essence that is Delray Beach.

Pineapple Grove Village, which is home to some of the highest profile people in Florida, is full of life and excitement.  The entrance, which is directly connected to Atlantic Avenue, is illuminated every night by 6pm.  This gateway(mind-you) is located just between The Office (www.theofficedelray.com) and Sazio’s (www.sazio.com), which are two of Delray’s many premier restaurants.  Furthermore, some of the most appealing apartments in Delray Beach are directly across the street, literally within one hundred yards.  Once you reach this majestic street, your immediate attention will be focused on what the locals call the “Tag Bar”; which is at near capacity every night.  As you continue to travel you may come in contact with an interesting array of bars and restaurants.  They range from Tia to Italian, but are each worth a sampling.  Many have come to know the only successful puppet museum and retailer this writer has ever know, followed by an auditorium that is unmatched.  That intersection has been know to most as the “Art District”, and for good reason.  Even a major hotel chain has begun to lay the ground-work in the area.  Apartments in Delray Beach have become a rare commodity, to say the least, and their value will continue to grow, as the surrounding community becomes more affluent everyday.

Interview with Recovering Alcoholic Delray Beach Apartment Renter

What brought you to Delray Beach?

I came to Delray Beach in 1999 after having been through a drug and alcohol treatment center in Boca Raton.  I needed a place to stay after having been to a halfway house in Delray Beach and I found this site.

What do you look for in an apartment?

For me it came down to a place that would accept my bad credit and bad criminal background.  I never got into anything violent or sexual, it was just the drugs.  For me, I knew I don’t want to cause any trouble, so I found this site and the realtors on here helped me so much.  I wanted a 1 bedroom place that gave me a place to lay my head.

What was your experience prior to this renting an apartment?

It was really hard because a label was put on me.  People see a bad criminal background and flip out.  It was really difficult because everyone wanted me to pay an application fee, and it really go expensive.  I applied to 10 places and each of them wanted at least $50.  They expected me to pay $500 just to have them say no to me.  Finding an apartment in Delray Beach was not an easy task.  I came here to clean up my life but it seemed like all odds were against me.

How did Apartmentsindelraybeach.com help you?

For me I was about to give up and move to Boynton Beach or Lake Worth.  I am a clean cut guy with no tattoos and an education.  What made it easy for me was they way things are done.  I filled out the form and within 24 hours I had an email with pre approved listings of apartments that would accept me.  From that point on, I was the one that would do the choosing, I didn’t have to chase them down, the apartments were calling me instead of me calling them!

Thanks for talking to us, congratulations on your sobriety, what are your plans for the next 1 year?

My plans are to get a better job, hopefully in an office somewhere.  I’d also like to get an apartment in Delray Beach big enough for me and my girlfriend.  Maintain being sober, and have fun.  Seriously I want to thank you guys so much.
